Dum Laga Ke Haisha is a 2015 Bollywood (Hindi) quasi-original love film defying convention love. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. Indian Playback Singer Kumar Sanu (Kedarnath Bhattacharya) also appears in this movie as himself in a guest role. Dum Laga Ke Haisha Movie Story
The story of Dum Laga Ke Haisha film revolves around Prem Prakash Tiwari, he owns a video cassette shop in the local market of Haridwar. His father is anxious about getting him married to an educated overweight girl Sandhya. Despite not liking her, the school drops out Prem assent to marry her as he cannot win over a girl with ‘Juhi Chawla-level-of-looks.’ Moreover, as Sandhya is trying to be a school teacher, his family asks him to think of this association with financial help too. Eventually, in a complicated community-wedding ceremony, Prem and Sandhya get married.
Prem visibly shows his impartiality in the marriage and does not consummate the marriage on the wedding night. Friends and seniors make fun of him and he tells them about his distress. His trainer requests that he must run away but that is not an option for him. At home, Sandhya tries to get Prem tempted to her. But he is too uneasy to even walk with her on the street. Prem and Sandhya’s relationship continues to remain exhausted although they share a kiss and have sex on their second night together.
